Headway Advisory is a Malta-based advisory firm specialising in the yachting and aviation industries. We provide strategic, practical advice to private clients, owners, operators, and industry stakeholders, supporting them throughout the full lifecycle of asset ownership, operation, and compliance.
Our core focus is advisory. We assist clients with yacht and aircraft registration, corporate and ownership structuring, fiscal administration, VAT and ongoing regulatory compliance.

Maria is a Director of Headway Advisory Limited and serves as the firm’s Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO). In this role, she is responsible for overseeing compliance with applicable anti‑money laundering and counter‑terrorist financing obligations, ensuring the firm’s internal controls and reporting frameworks are effectively maintained.
Andrew is a Lead Advisor at Headway Advisory Limited, where he leads the firm’s yachting practice, having been closely involved in its establishment and continued growth. Andrew, a lawyer by profession, holds a Master’s degree from the International Maritime Law Institute (IMLI) and practices primarily in maritime law, with a strong focus on the yachting sector.
Andrew advises yacht owners, operators, managers, brokers, and other yachting industry professionals on a day‑to‑day basis. His practice covers the full spectrum of yachting transactions, including yacht sales and acquisitions, new‑build projects, and major refit and shipyard projects, together with the associated regulatory, fiscal, and structuring considerations. He regularly supports clients throughout the lifecycle of a yacht, from initial project conception and construction, through acquisition and refit phases, to ongoing operation. He is known for his client‑centred and pragmatic approach, taking the time to understand his clients’ objectives and delivering practical, tailored advice that aligns commercial goals with applicable regulatory requirements.
Andrew is also a director of Headway Advisory Limited. Separately, he is an elected member of the Executive Committee of the Malta Maritime Law Association (MMLA), where he actively participates in the association’s yachting subcommittee.
Richard is a lawyer practising in the corporate and commercial sectors, with a particular focus on the aviation industry. Overseeing a multidisciplinary legal team advising on complex, high‑value aviation transactions, Richard has extensive experience in aircraft financing, operating and finance leasing, sale and purchase transactions, and related security, restructuring, and enforcement arrangements. He regularly acts for lessors, lessees, owners, financiers, and investors on cross‑border deals, managing multi‑jurisdictional transaction execution and advising throughout the full lifecycle of a transaction, from structuring and negotiation to completion. Richard is a director of Headway Advisory Limited.
Filippo is the Lead Advisor for Aviation at Headway Advisory Limited and is centrally involved in the firm’s overall business development activities. He works closely with aviation clients, including owners, operators and industry stakeholders, supporting the structuring and development of aviation‑related advisory matters and transactions. In parallel, Filippo plays a key role in driving strategic growth initiatives, strengthening client relationships, and expanding Headway’s presence in the yachting and aviation sectors. His combined commercial insight and sector focus contribute to the firm’s continued development and international reach.
Kaylee is a legal officer at Headway Advisory Limited, with a primary focus on maritime law and the yachting sector. She advises yacht owners, operators, shipyards, and brokers on a broad range of yachting‑related matters, including yacht transactions such as sales and purchases, yacht registration, crewing arrangements, and day‑to‑day operational and regulatory matters. Kaylee is also involved in the setting-up of effective yachting structures and supports clients in efficiently structuring transactions to meet commercial and operational objectives. Jake is a qualified ACCA professional who specializes in managing company accounts with precision and reliability. He oversees the full accounting cycle, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, financial reporting, and the timely preparation and submission of VAT returns.
Joanna is a member of the Accounts team at Headway Advisory Limited, where she is responsible for client finance matters. She plays a key role in the administration of client payrolls, acting as payroll administrator for Headway clients. In this capacity, Joanna handles day‑to‑day payroll‑related queries, ensures accurate processing, and prepares monthly payroll documentation in a timely and efficient manner. Her work supports the smooth operation of clients’ financial and employment obligations.
Johanna works as a Corporate and Yachting Executive at Headway Advisory Limited, supporting clients across a range of corporate, compliance, and yachting-related matters. She is actively involved in the initial client onboarding process, handling know‑your‑customer (KYC) procedures and due diligence requirements, and assisting with corporate submissions to the relevant authorities. Johanna also plays a key role in yacht registrations and ongoing yachting administration, coordinating documentation, liaising with stakeholders and supporting the day‑to‑day yachting operations.
